Its amazing how things, say a house, can be passed from generation to generation without having alterations and changes even after a long time. Just like the Avery-Copp House Museum. This building was built by Rufus Avery in the year 1800 mainly for his two sons. The house was then sold to their cousin named Latham Avery. The latter took a journey and returned only after deciding to have family and settle for good. Latham’s daughter, Mary Jane Avery Ramsdell took charge of inheriting the house in the year 1860s.

Unfortunately, Mary Jane did not have any children so the property’s ownership was passed on to her niece, Betsy Avery Copp. The latter had three children, one of which is Joe Avery Copp, the one who took ownership the house. The building being taken care of by Joe was left just the way it was back then.
