If you want to get away from stress and experience an out of town trip to an unfamiliar place, you should visit Little Norway when you’re in the Blue Mounds area. Here you will find a small village that resembles a Norwegian homestead in the rolling foothills of Southwestern Wisconsin. You will get to know the stories of pioneers who worked in this land and marvel at the simple Norse architecture of its buildings. You can get to tour the grounds and see sights like: Stabbur, Sod-Roof Cabin, the 12th Century Norwegian inspired building, The Spring House, the Main Cabin, The Stue, and The Granary. You should also take time to visit the displays that feature old artifacts like a Royal Doulton Wash Bowl, weaving of linen and wool, and household objects. Other area attractions that you might want to visit also are the House on the Rock and Pendarvis Historic Site.
